Biography:
Emma Silke is currently Head of Business Development, leading, managing and delivering ESB’s strategy and business development to commercialise the electromobility sector in both the UK and Ireland. This is in keeping with delivering on the electrification of transport as a key pillar of ESB’s Brighter Future strategy.
In doing so, Emma initiates and leads in business activities to support both this strategy implementation and the realisation of ESB’s business objectives, safeguarding all aspects of relationship development and management among UK, European and Irish stakeholders up to and including executive level as well as government leaders. Emma is also responsible for creating and structuring the commercial relationships and structures to develop and deliver on these business objectives.
As an experienced and highly motivated leader, with a substantial track record delivering projects in the international energy sector, Emma is analytically minded with a strong technical background and 12 years post PhD experience working both internationally and in Ireland. Emma’s expertise includes delivering large scale energy infrastructure projects; engineering consultancy services, as well as fulfilling a range of roles in business development, client, commercial and risk management, as well as strategy development and implementation.
Emma has a proven ability delivering results for ESB and representing Ireland and Irish engineering internationally. She has previously worked in the United States, Africa and Europe focusing on client centric delivery of large scale engineering projects, whilst demonstrating ongoing commitment to evidence based decision making and influencing and shaping the direction of business growth.
